Wanzek on point at 200MW Odell

Canadian developer Algonquin Power has selected an engineering, procurement and construction contractor as it prepares to break ground at the 200MW Odell wind farm in Minnesota.


North Dakota-headquartered Wanzek Construction will take the reins at the 100-turbine project, Algonquin spokesperson Kelly Castledine told reNEWS.
 
“Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2015  said Algonquin.
 
The $323m wind farm is to be constructed on 23,000 acres of leased land in Cottonwood, Jackson, Martin and Watonwan counties. Danish manufacturer Vestas is contracted to supply 100 V110 2MW turbines in a deal that includes a 10-year service agreement.
