“You don’t know how much this means to me. From the bottom of my heart, we appreciate it,” Erin Reed, Elora Community Center Board Member said.

From pouring the concrete, building a playset and painting, a Wanzek solar team worked together to complete a number of upgrades to the Elora, Tennessee Community Center. The project included a new playground and a basketball court plus updates to the existing baseball field.

Site leadership took it a step further and raised money by auctioning off a pie-in-the-face to site leadership. Through this and individual donations, they raised $3,500 for this community give-back project.

“We have a high poverty level here. Some of the kids here don’t have anything to do so the more we can provide to the kids the less trouble they can get into,” said Reed.

The Elora Community Center serves as the center point of the small town and the Wanzek solar team not only raised the money, they also donated their time to build it. A great show of Integrity, one of Wanzek Construction’s Beliefs.
