The Freeborn Wind Project was the fourth and final project of an agreement with a client that began in 2017 and finished in 2021. Wanzek was hired to engineer, procure and construct this wind project consisting of 100 Vestas turbines and associated civil, foundations, operations building, electrical collection, substation and transmission line facilities. Wanzek supported the client as the project went through iterations from the conceptual layout through final constructed project layout. The collaboration between Wanzek, the client and supporting entities allowed the project to be successfully completed in early 2021.
