The Las Lomas Wind Farm was completed on time with over 240,000 labor hours, zero reworks and a satisfied client all while working through a pandemic and hurricane. This project is located southeast of Zapata, Texas along the edge of the Rio Grande River. The client worked with a significant amount of landowners to lease 36,000 acres which have active oil and gas drilling operations within it to make this project happen. The project consists of 48 Goldwind 4.2 MW turbines, which reached a hub height of 110 meters, producing 200 MW of power.

  • Erection (6 of 48 WTGs only)
  • Wind turbine foundation concrete installation
  • 5,000 SF pre-engineered metal office building/shop
  • Meteorological tower
