The Maryneal Windpower project was Wanzek’s first project to achieve a zero punch list Nordex turbine. With Maryneal’s successes came its challenges (which Wanzek successfully worked through), such as multiple Nordex blade delays that required our team to single-blade the majority of the turbines after they were installed with a hammerhead configuration.

Project Scope:

• Full CSA contract including full engineering, civil works, foundation construction (with 90% blasting required), collection installation in rocky terrain, substation construction
• Installation of 38 Ea Nordex N149 4.8 MW turbines, five-section towers with multi-part nacelles requiring ground assembly and tower wiring
