Statistical or Overview Information

Start Date: October 2010

Completion Date: December 2018

Persimmon Creek is a 198.6 MW wind power project located near Vici, Oklahoma on approximately 17,000 acres of ranch and farm land. This project consists of 73 GE 116 2.5 MW WTGs and 7 GE 116 2.3 MW WTGs. The power generated is delivered from the newly constructed project substation, over approximately four miles of newly constructed 345 kV transmission line (located within the site) and brought to the newly constructed project switchyard. Wanzek and its subcontractors worked in excess of 290,000 labor hours and successfully completed the project on time; despite dealing with forced evacuations due to the Rhea Megafire that scorched over 400,000 acres of land in western Oklahoma during the spring of 2018.
