Fargo, ND- Wanzek Construction was awarded the Construction Safety Excellence Award (CSEA) at the Associated General Contractors of America Annual Convention. Wanzek received first place in the Heavy/Federal Division with over one million work hours or more. This is one of the industry’s elite safety excellence award programs for construction companies.
The purpose of the CSEA is to recognize those construction companies who excel at safety performance. Wanzek worked through a detailed nomination process, prior to being named a finalist. As a finalist Wanzek gave an oral presentation to a panel of judges at the AGC Annual Convention in Palm Springs, California. “This outside recognition confirms the commitment of our teams to our System of Safety Excellence. It shows that the processes we have in place are recognized as being a best-in-class system,” said Todd Stewart Safety Education and Training Manager for Wanzek. “We are proud of this accomplishment and will continue to improve with active participation at all levels.”
At Wanzek safety is the cornerstone of company culture. The System of Safety Excellence includes an active process to instill safety values in each team member and to ensure that safe behavior is instinctive and automatic. Comprehensive safety training and coaching is ongoing on each project and fosters an environment where team members help each other to work safe. Stewart continued to thank all Wanzek employees, as they play the vital role in continuous improvement in safety with a goal of zero injuries.
